Meet Jon Prezant, LMSW

Jon is a licensed master social worker whose psychotherapeutic approach stems from sex therapy, trauma-informed care, and emotionally focused therapy. Using a relationship-centered model, he focuses his psychotherapy work on the therapist-client bond in a collaborative and integrative environment.

As a clinician, Jon has experience working with couples and poly relationships, LGBTQIA+ individuals and relationships, refugees and asylum seekers, and sexual assault survivors. He has works with clients wrestling with depression, anxiety, shame, gender and sexual identity concerns, sexual functioning, sexual desire, and self-esteem.

As a prospective sex therapist, Jon has extensive education and experience in human sexuality, working with various sexually and erotically-marginalized populations, ethical non-monogamy and polyamorous relationships, sex workers, and on sexual functioning and dysfunctioning. Jon integrates multiple modalities, including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused therapy in his work with individuals and relationships.

Jon received his B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maryland. He later earned his M.A. in Trauma and Crisis Studies from Tel Aviv University and his M.S.W. from New York University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work.
